PAUSE, a framework for blending relationship-based and reflective practice skills will be presented. Participants will evaluate their own reflective skills and compare their relationship-based skills with best practices. Using vignettes, participants will practice applying the framework to build their skills to support families with difficult behaviors in very young children. In this skills building workshop participants will: 1) Assess one's own reflective skills needed for partnering with families; 2) Increase knowledge of reflective practice skills and strategies; 3) Demonstrate the ability to use the PAUSE framework to provide to support families with very young children with challenging behaviors; 4) Create a personal plan for individualized follow-up learning in reflective and relationship-based practice sk
