Rich Malloch
President, Hearst Business Media

Richard P. Malloch is the president of Hearst Business Media. He joined Hearst in 1991 as deputy group head of Hearst’s Consumer Book Publishing and Trade Magazine Group. In the late 1990s, Hearst sold the consumer book business (William Morrow and Avon Books) to HarperCollins. Malloch looked to reinvest the proceeds from the sale and build a fifth large operating group for Hearst. Traditionally, Hearst’s trade publishing was based on print products with significant revenue generated from advertising. Malloch changed the strategy and business model, moving the Group toward revenue generated from subscriptions and licensing fees. In consideration of this new strategy, the Group was renamed Hearst Business Media. Today, the business is nearly 100 percent digital. In addition to his role as president of Hearst Business Media, Malloch is a senior vice president of Hearst and a member of the Board of Directors.

Byron Matthews
President and CEO, Miller Heiman Group

Byron Matthews, President and CEO, leads Miller Heiman Group’s commitment to providing organizations worldwide with an expanded, holistic approach for developing and managing, and sustaining, long-term customer relationships. With more than twenty-two years of experience, Byron has consulted for and led sales organizations for several Fortune 500 companies. He has collaborated with industry leaders throughout the world at companies like Microsoft, AT&T, Samsung, and Coca-Cola on the development of pipeline and revenue management solutions, implementation of sales methodologies, optimization of sales management processes and compensation plans, and competency models linked to assessment and recruiting. David Chun

Slade Cutter
Partner, Wittliff Cutter Austin

Slade Cutter is an experienced technology attorney who has dedicated his practice to supporting innovation and growth in the digital media and e-commerce spaces. He represents large online advertising networks and frequently negotiates and drafts network advertising agreements, software licensing agreements (including SaaS agreements), and content distribution agreements. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and speaks frequently on privacy, advertising, and digital media topics. Slade's prior experience includes serving as the general counsel for Smiley Media, Inc., an online advertising network that was twice recognized on the Inc.500 list of fastest growing companies.

Karen Danziger
Managing Partner, Koller Search Partners

Karen directs the firm’s creative search practices, which include editorial/content, video, creative direction, data visualization, thought leadership, branding, social media and communications, as well as digital strategy leaders. She and her team typically search for Chief Content Officers, Chief Creative Officers, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Marketing Officers and Heads of Video, among other titles. Karen also leads the firm’s Human Resource practice and plays an integral role in searches for CEOs and Heads of Product. Since joining Koller Search Partners, Karen has expanded the client base to include nonprofit organizations, consulting and professional service firms and content marketing agencies. Alex Ford

David Fortino
SVP Audience and Product, NetLine

David Fortino is SVP of Audience & Product at NetLine Corporation where he is responsible for the strategic direction and management of NetLine's audience, publisher, and client facing technologies, operations, platform and product development. He brings more than 15 years’ experience managing the development of content distribution, audience monetization, and digital marketing/targeting platforms. Prior to NetLine, Fortino served as Director of Strategic Alliances and Audience Development for VerticalNet. Fortino holds a B.A. in Media Studies with a Corporate Communications focus from Pennsylvania State University.

Joshua Fruhlinger

Joshua Fruhlinger has been covering technology and business news since before being a nerd was cool. One of the original editors for tech supersite Engadget and former editorial director for AOL Tech, he's also a regular contributor about tech and lifestyle for Wall Street Journal. Bill Furlong

Bill founded SquareStack in late 2014. He has since been at the forefront of b2b digital media and marketing. Outside of leading the SquareStack team, Bill continues to work with early stage and small business owners in a variety of roles. Recently Bill was on the founding team of Bizo which was acquired by LinkedIn in 2014. He also worked for ten years at Crain Communications where he was Publisher of B2B Magazine and held various sales management roles with the Ad Age Group.

Wilma Jordan
Founder and CEO, Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc. (JEGI)

As leader of the most successful independent investment bank for the media, information, marketing, software and tech-enabled services sectors since 1987, Ms. Jordan has been instrumental in completing more than 600 M&A transactions for global corporations, private companies, entrepreneurs, and private equity and venture capital firms. Ms. Jordan’s Best Practices approach to M&A advisory services has been influential in forging the firm’s reputation for overall excellence, integrity and the ability to maximize value for its clients. Her experience includes having founded, owned, managed, advised and served on the Boards of Directors of media, marketing, interactive and technology businesses. Trevor Kaufman

The company serves thousands of sites, including many of the world’s top media businesses such as The Economist, Gatehouse, Conde Nast, Bloomberg, Bonnier, AOL, and NBC Universal.

Jay Kirsch
President of Media, ALM

Jay Kirsch is President of ALM Media where is responsible for sales, marketing, content, and product development strategy for ALM’s media business including brands such Law.com, The National Law Journal and National Underwriter. Jay was previously a Managing Director with Empirical Media where he helped companies such as The Dallas Morning News, Philadelphia Media News, and QVC as they transitioned their businesses to digital. From 2010 until 2014, Jay was part of the team to successfully bring AOL back to growth and profitability. As President of AOL’s Business, Automotive & Technology Group he managed go-to-market monetization strategy, product development, editorial and audience development for market-leading brands including TechCrunch, Engadget, Autoblog and DailyFinance among others. In 2008 Jay became CEO of Imaginova, a venture-backed digital media and e-commerce company where he led the company to profitability. Prior to that, he spent 9 years executing middle market M&A transactions for AdMediaPartners. Jay has a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from Fordham University and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He lives in Riverside, CT with his wife and two daughters.

Todd Krizelman
CEO, MediaRadar

MediaRadar’s co-founder and CEO is Todd Krizelman. Mr. Krizelman is an expert in Internet and magazine publishing. From 1994 to 2001, he was CEO of theglobe.com, leading the company from inception and taking it public on NASDAQ. The company hosted an Internet community 20 million monthly users and published a collection of video game magazine and websites. From 2003 through 2006, he worked for Bertelsmann in publishing, working in Barcelona and New York City. Mr. Krizelman, a graduate of Cornell University and Harvard Business School, co-founded MediaRadar in 2006 to address the need for deep competitive intelligence to drive a more effective ad sales process for publishers.

Frank Luby
CEO and Co-founder, Present Tense LLC

Frank Luby is CEO and co-founder of Present Tense LLC, a communications firm which provides content development and training services to executives, consultants, and academics. Prior to that, he spent 15 years as a management consultant, including eight years as a partner at Simon-Kucher & Partners. He has recommended pricing strategies and marketing strategies for some of the world’s most iconic brands in media, consumer products, and durable goods. He has worked in 20 countries in North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Frank has published numerous op-eds on pricing in The Wall Street Journal, Billboard, Harvard Business School Working Knowledge, the Financial Times, and Traffic. He has appeared on CBS Sunday Morning and CNN, as well as NPR. He is co-author of the book Manage for Profit, Not for Market Share (Harvard Business School Publishing, 2006). Many years ago, he worked a music reviewer (rock and blues) for weekly and daily newspapers in Chicago, Cleveland, and Boston. He published Blues Flashbacks, a collection of his favorite interviews and reviews, as an e-book in 2016.

Christopher Mohr
General Counsel, Vice President of Intellectual Property , SIIA

Chris Mohr is Vice President for Intellectual Property and General Counsel for the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal association representing software and digital content industries. Mohr spearheads public advocacy on intellectual property issues and works closely with technology industries. Previously, in private practice, Mohr provided strategic advice to technology, software, entertainment, and other clients on issues involving copyright, privacy, the First Amendment, licensing, public records access, and unfair competition. He has also appeared before legislative, judicial, and administrative bodies on matters of intellectual property and constitutional law and has been involved in several U.S. Supreme Court cases.

Scott Mozarsky
President, Bloomberg Law

Scott Mozarsky joined Bloomberg BNA in March 2014 as President, Cross Platform Businesses. In 2016 he was named president of Bloomberg Law. Previously, Scott held a number of leadership roles during a13-year tenure in the UBM plc Group. As President – Media & Marketing Services for UBM Tech, Scott was responsible for building the marketing services business and driving the evolution of leading websites Information Week.com, EE Times, Dr. Dobbs Journal and Light Reading to an online community model tied to UBM Tech’s live events. As EVP, Chief Commercial Officer of UBM subsidiary PR Newswire, Mozarsky oversaw commercial activities worldwide. Mozarsky also served as EVP and Chief Operating Officer of CMP Media. From 2002-2009, he served as General Counsel and headed up M&A and corporate development globally for UBM’s subsidiaries in North America and Latin America. Prior to joining the UBM Group, he spent eight years at two multinational law firms representing media, technology, telecommunications, insurance and manufacturing companies. Mozarsky, who speaks Japanese and lived in Japan, has advised numerous companies on business, financial, and legal issues arising out of cross border transactions.

Jonathan Murray
EVP & CTO, Digital Prism Advisors

Jonathan Murray, EVP/ CTO. Jonathan has a demonstrated track record of successfully helping clients understand and address the complex factors at play in an accelerating global digital transformation. Jonathan was most recently engaged as interim CTO and Head of Technology at The New York Times. Prior to this he was Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at Warner Music Group. He is a published author and associate researcher with the University of California Berkeley’s Roundtable on the International Economy where he focuses on the impact of emerging technologies on social and economic development.

Andy Reid
President , Metrostudy

Andrew Reid is the Chief Data Officer of Hanley Wood and President of Metrostudy, a Hanley Wood company. As Chief Data Officer, Reid leads the development of Hanley Wood and Metrostudy’s most important digital and database products and initiatives. His vision for the development and implementation of innovative data and digital-media products is a key component of the company’s growth. As President of Metrostudy, Reid is responsible for the business strategy, product planning, and business development for Metrostudy’s data practice, including the company’s leading proprietary data sets for housing-related activity. Reid and his team are leading the development, build-out and delivery of innovative data and information-focused products and service solutions for Metrostudy’s customers. Before joining Hanley Wood, Reid was senior vice president and global head of the Investment Banking and Corporate markets at Reuters Group PLC, where he was responsible for the group's growth, strategy, and ongoing product development. Reid also sat on the boards of directors at Intralinks Inc., a provider of secure online data rooms and workspaces, and the Independent Research Network LLC, which provides research services to current and prospective NASDAQ issuers.

Adam Reinebach
CEO and President, BridgeTower Media

Adam joined GateHouse Media in February 2016 to lead the company’s business-to-business media division. The group’s 44 print and digital publications, web sites and affiliated events cover the legal, financial, real estate and government affairs sectors in more than 20 different U.S. markets. Prior to GateHouse, Adam served as as EVP & Managing Director at SourceMedia, running the Professional Services Group, which focuses on three industry verticals – investment advisors, accountants and healthcare – and includes brands such as Financial Planning, Employee Benefits News, Accounting Today and Health Data Management. He also manages SourceMedia’s paid subscriptions effort, which is anchored by American Banker, Bond Buyer and Payments Source, and oversees the Marketing Solutions group, which handles over 500 projects a year for an elite group of financial services clients, ranging from research and lead generation to custom content and digital solutions. Based on his prior positions managing sales, marketing, editorial and technology, Adam brings a unique skill set to his current position. Adam’s career at SourceMedia began in 2006 as the Group Publisher for the Capital Markets Group, where he launched several M&A products and transitioned a number of print products online, among other accomplishments. Prior to SourceMedia, Adam was a Vice President at Thomson Financial, where he was publisher of the private equity group and ran the research and data group at Venture Economics. Adam started his financial services career in editorial, as a reporter for Investment Dealers' Digest, where he covered capital markets and helped launch the Deals of the Year program. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children.

Cathilea Robinett
President, e.Republic

Cathilea is president of e.Republic, where she oversees operations for the company’s award-winning media platforms: Governing, Government Technology, Public CIO, and Emergency Management. Cathilea also oversees e.Republic’s websites, conferences and events, and its national research and advisory groups: the Center for Digital Government, the Center for Digital Education and the Governing Institute. In 2014 Cathilea directed the launch of the Governing Institute’s Women in Government Leadership Program, an innovative initiative that encourages future generations of women to participate in public service. Cathilea is a frequent speaker for government and education organizations worldwide, including the United Nations, Harvard University, the State Legislative Leaders' Foundation, the National Conference of State Legislatures, the Council of State Governments, and the World Congress on Information Technology. She has been quoted frequently in publications including the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Forbes and others. Cathilea is a recipient of NASCIO’s National Technology Champion Award for her outstanding contributions to advance public sector information technology innovation. She is also the winner of an Outstanding Women Leadership Award from the Sacramento Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and is a Greater Sacramento Business Hall of Fame Laureate.

Carl Schonander
Senior Director for International Public Policy, SIIA

Carl Schonander is the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) Senior Director for International Public Policy. He advocates for SIIA’s international policy interests. Those interests include the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the Digital Single Market, China, cross-border data flows, intellectual property, trade, privacy, and Internet governance. Schonander was part of a coalition of industry groups that worked successfully to develop consensus industry support for the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, as well as congressional support for legislation needed to obtain EU support for the Shield. Schonander was a member of the Atlantic Council’s Task Force on Advancing a Transatlantic Digital Agenda, which released the report: “Building a Transatlantic Digital Marketplace: Twenty Steps Toward 2020.” He participated in an international group charged with providing recommendations for enhancing the accountability of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Schonander is a former U.S. diplomat. He has a Master of Law degree in Intellectual Property Rights from George Washington University, Masters Degree in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and a JD from the University of Stockholm.

Prescott Shibles
Senior Vice President of Data, Randall-Reilly

Prescott Shibles joined Randall-Reilly in 2014. As Vice President of Audience Data, Shibles manages our team responsible for EDA and RigDig Business Intelligence, while overseeing Randall-Reilly’s corporate audience intelligence assets. He and his team are tasked with on-boarding offline audience data and developing predictive profiling, audience targeting, and magazine circulation. Prior, Shibles served as Chief Digital and Marketing Officer for Advantage Media and as CEO of Vital Business Media. He was recognized by Min on their Best of the Web and Digital Innovators lists.

Jack Simms
Partner, Wittliff|Cutter|Austin PLCC

Jack Simms is a partner at Wittliff | Cutter | Austin, PLLC where his practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, including business torts and trade secret litigation. Prior to joining WCA, Jack was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Boies Schiller Flexner and a Corporate Counsel at DuPont. Jack has litigated, arbitrated and mediated complex disputes in a wide range of industries, including biotechnology, solar, manufacturing and distribution, software and financial services.

Kevin Skaggs

Kevin is the General Manager of Product & Technology at Ad Age, where he leads digital product strategy and drives the product roadmap for the brand. In this role, he’s implemented a new membership-based paywall strategy, has led partner integration and content distribution efforts across platforms, and drove the relaunch of the Ad Age rebrand (originally Advertising Age), with a bold new look across its digital properties. Before joining Ad Age, Kevin oversaw the content strategy and partner relationships as the Chief Content Officer for Ongo, a news aggregator backed by the New York Times, The Washington Post, and Gannett. Before this, Kevin was the Executive Producer at SFGate.com, the online home of the San Francisco Chronicle, where he oversaw the content, product management, design, and daily production of the site.

Matthew Yorke is SourceMedia’s Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for marketing and marketing services product innovation. Matt is charged with advancing SourceMedia’s portfolio of digital marketing capabilities and products, and enabling profitable revenue growth across all aspects of the business. Prior to joining SourceMedia, he was Managing Director for Business Development and Marketing with the global media and marketing solutions agency OMD. Matt also spent 15 years at IDG where he held numerous senior positions, including CEO of IDG Global Solutions and CEO of IDG Enterprise, tasked with transforming IDG into a modern digital first media company. With more than 20 years’ experience in media, marketing and technology, Yorke is recognized for his leadership, customer-focused approach and keen sense of how technology trends impact customer habits, and in turn, marketers. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the Folio: 40 as a C-level visionary in 2011, BtoB’s Media Business 2010 Business Publishing Executive Innovator and Min’s Social Media Superstar Award in 2009. Yorke also received the IDG Chairman’s Award for Entrepreneur of The Year in 2011.
